Our first daughter, Mary Anne, was born in Pittsburgh, PA on 26 February 1955.  After graduating from Saint Olaf College in Northfield, MN, she headed west to California and on 15 July 1989, she married Craig Charnley in Davis, CA.  Their work with university students took them to Honolulu, HI where their sons Stephen James (7 August 1991) and Philip Michael (12 May 1993) were born.

The Charnleys have moved from Honolulu and currently reside in Santiago, Spain where Craig is pursuing sociological studies.  They return to the States every 18 months or so to visit family and friends.  Their favorite hobbies are swimming, hiking and soccer.
