Daughter #3, Ruth Anne, was born in Stamford, CT on 28 November 1958.  She graduated from DePauw University in Greencastle, IN and married Greg Padgett on 5 June 1982 in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Greg & Ruth live in Indianapolis, IN where Greg is a practicing attorney.  After a career in medical diagnostics, Ruth is currently home with their two boys, Joshua David (16 May 1994) and William Joel ( 2 March 1996).

Late in the summer of 2001, Ruth and our daughter Alice plan to travel to China to bring home a little girl to join the Padgett family, http://www.childrenshopeint.org/.  Favorite activities are biking, hiking, playing games, and reading lots and lots of books.
